Life Support: Epilepsy is now portable!
Ashley is thrilled to partner with UCSF Pediatric Epilepsy Center of Excellence to offer this continuous, interactive, ‘plug in when it works for you’ parent coaching experience. I (Ashley) found out about our epilepsy diagnosis the hard way, and am committed to helping you adjust with more ease and less stress. The essential daily support of Life Support: Epilepsy will soon be available at your fingertips, whenever you need it.
Using a one-to-many, interactive video coaching platform called Channels, Ashley will bring weekly teaching videos (5-10 minutes each) that focus on parenting concepts, principles and interventions straight to the members of Life Support: Epilepsy. This channel is a 3-month asynchronous program that will launch on June 1st, 2021.
Each intervention that Ashley brings to subscribers will be aimed at helping parents and caregivers adjust to the overwhelm of an epilepsy diagnosis with more ease. In addition to a weekly teaching video, Ashley will post a video dedicated to the organizational principles and life management skills that are essential when caring for someone with an epilepsy diagnosis. With Channels, Ashley will be an on-call ally and coach to parents & caregivers. On this channel, you have the choice to participate in group discussions through the comments section or get private 1:1 guidance from Ashley.
One of the primary goals of this service is to provide emotional support and practical guidance to families, along with the hope that Ashley can help others adjust to epilepsy more peacefully and in less time than it took Ashley and her family of five. Ashley hopes that this channel can undo some of the aloneness that comes with parenting a child with epilepsy and allow for a community to rise out of learning how to live “well” with an epilepsy diagnosis
How does the Channel work?
This brand-new asynchronous platform makes personalized learning more convenient than ever. Members can participate at their leisure by simply opening up the Channels app on their phones and a new video from Ashley will be waiting for them. Additionally, the Q&A and 1:1 coaching feature is always available to you to leave personal questions for Ashley. This service is designed for anyone caring for a person with epilepsy. Ashley is piloting this channel for UCSF Pediatric Epilepsy Center of Excellence patients and families only.
What do I get as a member?
As a member of Ashley’s 3-month long Life Support: Epilepsy program, you will have Ashley’s presence and attention, supporting you wherever you are in your adjustment to family life with epilepsy. You can tune into the weekly video teachings according to your own schedule and Ashley will be there to guide you through some of your toughest moments.
You’ll get access to an expanding video library of Life Support teachings as well as community support from other members, and personal guidance and communication with Ashley when you need it. Together, using this interactive platform, we will commit to a common goal – getting you moving through your grief/trauma and learning how to live “well,” even with an epilepsy diagnosis.

Rooted in her study and practice of The LAB Method, Ashley will speak to these topics and more over the duration of the course. The LAB Method is a parenting approach that teaches parents how to be relaxed leaders and truthful allies to children when life gets messy. The LAB Method teaches attachment principles and language for building balanced, secure connections at home.
